Atlantis,
Paradise Island is a world of awe and discovery
Occupying
34 acres of 4-mile-wide Paradise Island, which connects to
downtown Nassau via two bridges, the Atlantis resort dates
to the 1960s, when it was called Paradise Island and operated
largely as a casino destination. Adopting the mythical Lost
Continent of Atlantis motif in the 1990s, the resort expanded
into a family destination featuring vast water-park and marine-life
attractions.
Amenity highlights: Although all Atlantis'
facilities and attractions are readily accessible from all
three towers, this one contains the resort's library and Discovery
Channel Camp, a children's education-and-activity center.
Adjacent to Coral Towers are Lazy River (tube) Ride, River
(swimming) Pool, Poseidon's Kid's Pool, Lagoon Pool, and Goombay
Water Slide & Baths—a long slide and a series of
spas cut into an artificial-rock formation. Also adjacent
are the marine-life exhibits Hibiscus Lagoon; Seagrapes Lagoon
and viewing tunnel; Stingray Lagoon; Water's Edge Lagoon;
Adventure Trail; and Predator Lagoon, Reef, and underwater
viewing tunnel, as well as Predator Falls and a rope suspension
bridge spanning Predator Lagoon.

- These private villas are located across the marina from
main Atlantis property. Each has a separate living room with
sofa bed and entertainment center (cable TV/VCR and CD player),
